About Us
Souls and Shadows is the title of a song composed by Caspar Barlow-Olsen during music sessions at Sir Michael Sobell House Hospice, Oxford with Bob Heath, the resident music therapist. Caspar was Danish and an excellent musician playing both the piano and guitar. At the time he was terminally ill with an inoperable brain tumour. He subsequently died at Sobell House on 23rd December 2006 and this is the link to their homepage http://www.sobellhospiceoxford.org/ The Souls and Shadows charitable foundation has been set up by Caspar's family in his memory to hopefully enhance the lives of other terminally ill patients and their families by providing and promoting music therapy.

The idea of a foundation was first discussed during Caspar's lifetime and he was delighted that he could be the catalyst for such a worthwhile cause. If you would like to know more about Caspar his widow Lois has created a Memorial Webpage on the 'Gone Too Soon' and the hyperlink below will take you there: -
The foundation has been set up as a charitable trust and the trust deed is dated 5th March 2007 when the last of the five trustees signed it. A copy of the trust wording is shown separately.
